A fun filled Chanukah Party with Reggae singer Benny Bwoy
The Chanukah festival was an entertaining, fun event for all the family. The kids loved the edible arts . Coloring cookies and then of course eating them (the best part of it!!)... making edible menorahs and of course let us not forget the lighting of the GRAND real chocolate Menorah - that we were able to lick... yum!!!
Benny Bwoy- The original JEWmaican had us all singing and dancing. It was fascinating listening to the Jewish Rapper - singing Jewish songs in reggae. Everyone was surprised when a real Jamaican chanted the Hebrew song of Maoz Tzur to a Jamaican rythm.

Buffet Milky food; Array of delectable desserts
Ice cream you scream we all scream for Ice Cream!!! YUM!!! The varieties of Ice Creams, toppings, delectable Cheesecakes and delicious dairy buffet were actually indescribable.. It was hard to know where to begin - the choices were endless and the food scrumptious!! All in all we had a splendid time!
Purim celebrated by the sea - style
Purim by the Sea was a 'splashing' success. As we entered the room, we were transformed to a sea. The room was lit in blue & green lighting and all around were fish hangings, pictures, ornaments, and other fish and sea props etc. There was an open bar with every kind of soft and alcoholic beverages. Besides the types of drinks, the colors available were quite endless. (Thanks David & Dawn) There was a Sushi bar with any kinds of sushi readily available. It was the best tasting Sushi I’ve tasted - it was a big hit!! Live music was playing, goodie fish themed bags were given out to exchange with friends fish themed 'graggers' were distributed... We all had a great time!
Services held at the Marriott Hotel
The atmosphere of services and kiddushim over Rosh Hashana held at the Marriott on 92nd St. was warm, inspiring and uplifting. There was a community feel all around as people mingled and prayed! The first night of Rosh Hashana there was a community dinner with over 80 people (including kids) present. It was a beautiful evening, eating the traditional foods, hearing inspiring words from guests and of course singing holiday songs! During the day there were 'user friendly' services - with explanations and tidbits of information and stories in between & of course kids programs for those that needed. After services there was a great Kiddush! The Tashlich service there were over 50 people.
Soups in the Sukkah - on the roof!!
A Sukkah in the Sky- literally (well almost)!!!
A Sukkah on a roof- overlooking the Manhattan skyline - that was a once in a life opportunity to see!
There were different types of soups (carrot & Ginger won hands down!!) and different types of cheeses & croutons, salads and kids menu!! What a great atmosphere- (the weather helped too). With live music and popular kid’s entertainer- BobbyDoowah and kids Sukkot crafts. The neighbors in the building came to see what all the action was about!! It was a great day with lots of shaking of the Lulav & Etrog.

Celebrations of Chanukah with an ICE theme
Chanukah on ICE was a cool event, literally and figuratively.
We had an ICE Menorah - sculptured and then lit. Ice Decorations and Ice Sculpture centerpieces.
We got to see how Olive oil is made- from our very own Judah the Macabbe, who also told us about the story of the oil. We got to actually, hands on- make the oil.
We danced, sang the Chanukah Songs after the Menorah was lit, and ate the best doughnuts in NYC. We had a super time!
